Composite Smooth Cladding - Black

Black Composite Smooth Cladding offers a striking, contemporary way to transform the appearance of your property. With its clean, smooth surface and deep black tone, it delivers a premium, design-led finish that works equally well on full elevations, feature walls and modern garden rooms.

Each board is approximately 3.6m long and 157mm wide, with an approximate weight of 7.8kg. Manufactured from a robust composite of recycled wood fibres and plastics, the cladding is designed not to splinter, rot or warp when correctly installed, making it ideal for demanding outdoor environments.

The low-maintenance nature of composite cladding means you can enjoy the look of freshly painted timber without the hassle of regular sanding, staining or repainting. A simple wash down with mild detergent and water is usually enough to keep the boards looking fresh.

Suitable for a wide variety of applications – including homes, offices, outbuildings and warehouse elevations – this cladding is installed over a battened framework and can be combined with matching trims and profiles for a neat, professional finish. Please ensure all boards are adequately supported, typically with battens at no more than 400mm centres, and be aware that colours may vary slightly in real life due to lighting and viewing conditions.

Assess the wall to be clad, ensuring it is structurally sound and suitable for over-cladding, then plan your layout, including board orientation and trim positions.

Fix a treated timber or composite batten framework to the wall, keeping battens straight, plumb and generally spaced at no more than 400mm centres to support the Black composite boards.

Fit starter profiles, base trims and any external or internal corner trims, making sure they are securely fixed back through the battens and aligned correctly.

Measure and cut the cladding boards to length, allowing space for expansion at ends, joints and around openings like windows, doors and vents.

Install the first cladding board into the starter trim or profile, checking that it is level and securely fixed using the recommended fixings or cladding clips at each batten location.

Continue installing subsequent boards, locking them together as designed and fixing into each batten, periodically checking for straight, consistent lines across the elevation.

Complete the installation with top trims and finishing details, then clean down the cladding surface to remove dust and debris before bringing the area into full use.
