Care & Maintenance

A simple cleaning routine

  • Clear loose dirt. Sweep decking and remove leaves from board gaps. Use a soft brush to lift dust from cladding and fencing.
  • Wash gently. Use warm water, a mild detergent and a soft brush or non-abrasive sponge. Try the solution on a small, inconspicuous area first.
  • Rinse thoroughly. Remove loosened dirt and soap with clean water from a garden hose. Let the surface dry before returning furniture or assessing a remaining mark.

Care by product

Decking

Keep board gaps and the routes below the deck clear of leaves and debris. Lift furniture instead of dragging it. Clean food or drink spills promptly. Check shaded areas more often, as surface build-up can affect grip.

Cladding

Clean accessible boards gently and keep drainage and ventilation openings clear. Look for loose trims or fixings during routine checks. Arrange suitable access for higher areas; do not climb on the cladding.

Fencing and balustrades

Wash the visible surfaces gently and inspect posts, rails and connections after severe weather. If a post or balustrade moves, keep the affected area out of use and have its support and fixings checked.

Pressure washers and stubborn stains

Use a hose for routine cleaning. Pressure, nozzle choice and distance can damage a finish; only use a pressure washer when the instructions for your exact range expressly allow it. We do not give one pressure setting for the whole catalogue.

For grease, rust, algae or an unfamiliar stain, send us the product name and a clear photograph before applying a treatment. Avoid wire brushes, abrasive pads, solvents, bleach, sanding or painting unless specifically approved for that product.

When to check

  • After installation: remove cutting debris and record the product range, colour and order reference.
  • During use: clear leaves and spills as they appear; wash when visible dirt builds up.
  • In spring and autumn: check exposed edges, gaps, trims and supports. Review shaded or heavily used areas more frequently.
  • After a storm: check for impact damage or movement before using affected areas.

Weathering and warranty

Colour can change with exposure and differ between production batches. A new replacement may not immediately match an older installation. Keep your order details and photographs so we can help identify the right product.

Warranty periods and conditions vary by range. Refer to the cover for your selected product and retain its fitting instructions. A cleaning guide does not change the warranty terms.
