Refund policy

Last updated: June 2026

We want you to be completely satisfied with your Status Composite order. This policy explains your rights and our process for returns, refunds, and cancellations in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014.

1. Your Right to Cancel

As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us in writing within the 14-day cancellation period. You can do this by:

  • Emailing us at: info@statuscomposite.co.uk
  • Writing to us at: Unit 4, Station Road Industrial Estate, Station Road, St Helens, WA9 3JG

Once you have notified us of your cancellation, you must return the goods to us within 14 calendar days. The cost of return postage or courier is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.

2. Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The goods must be returned within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation
  • Products must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a resaleable condition
  • Products must not have been cut, installed, or modified in any way
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

We reserve the right to refuse a return or apply a deduction to your refund if the goods show signs of use, damage, or handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them.

3. Products That Cannot Be Returned

The following products are exempt from our standard returns policy:

  • Products that have been cut to a custom length or made to a bespoke specification
  • Products that have been installed or fixed in place
  • Sample products
  • Products sold as clearance or end-of-line, unless faulty

If you are unsure whether your product qualifies for a return, please contact us before placing your order.

4. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If your goods arrive damaged, defective, or are not what you ordered, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us within 30 days of delivery to report the issue.

In these cases, we will:

  • Arrange collection of the goods at no cost to you
  • Offer a full replacement, repair, or refund at your preference
  • Aim to resolve the issue within 14 working days of the goods being returned to us

Please retain all original packaging where possible, and take photographs of any damage before returning goods, as this may assist with any supplier or courier claims.

5. How to Return Goods

To return goods, please follow these steps:

  • Contact us at info@statuscomposite.co.uk to notify us and receive a returns authorisation
  • Package the goods securely to prevent damage in transit
  • Include your order number and reason for return inside the package
  • Send the goods to: Unit 4, Station Road Industrial Estate, Station Road, St Helens, WA9 3JG

Please note that our premises are not open to the public. You must not attend the address without a prior appointment. To arrange an appointment, please contact us at info@statuscomposite.co.uk or call 0161 737 7977.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured courier service for returns. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in return transit.

6. Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your returned goods, we will process your refund within 14 calendar days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

The following may be deducted from your refund:

  • Any reduction in value caused by handling the goods beyond what was necessary to inspect them
  • Original delivery costs, if you are cancelling only part of an order

We will notify you by email once your refund has been processed. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.

7. Delivery Shortages or Damaged Goods on Arrival

Please inspect all goods carefully on delivery. If you notice any damage or shortage, note this on the delivery documentation before signing, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Failure to report damage or shortages within this timeframe may affect our ability to make a claim with our courier, and we may be unable to offer a remedy in these circumstances.

8. Business Customers

If you are purchasing goods for business purposes, your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014 do not apply. Returns for business customers are subject to agreement on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss your situation.
