Colour & Design Guide

Start with the materials that will stay: your brickwork, paving, doors, window frames and garden furniture. Choose one main finish, then use a second colour only where it helps define an edge, boundary or feature.

The combinations below are design suggestions. Product photographs and screen colours are a starting point; compare physical samples outdoors before ordering.

1. Warm timber tones

Use warm timber-style finishes to sit alongside red brick, cream paving and planting. Teak cladding can provide a warmer backdrop while a quieter grey deck keeps the overall palette balanced.

2. A calm grey palette

Grey decking is a useful starting point alongside pale paving, rendered walls or dark window frames. Compare the undertones in daylight: two products described as grey can look different next to each other.

3. Texture as the feature

Slatted cladding creates a repeated line and shadow. Keep surrounding finishes relatively simple if the slats are the main feature. Sketch the direction of the boards and the position of joints around windows and doors before choosing lengths.

How to combine decking, cladding and fencing

  • Choose one dominant colour and one supporting finish. A coordinated palette does not need every surface to be identical.
  • Compare the actual samples side by side with the existing paving or brickwork. Check them in sun and shade.
  • Use a darker boundary or balustrade to frame a lighter deck, or carry a warm tone from the cladding into one other element.
  • For a contrasting decking border, keep the board profile and fixing system compatible and plan the extra support and cuts. Matching colour names do not establish compatibility.

Before you order

Confirm the exact range, colour, length and finish. Plan boards and matching accessories together. Different lengths and production batches can vary in shade, so discuss a mixed-length or mixed-range design before buying.

Our Duo decking has different colours on its two faces; other ranges have their own surface options. Check the selected product before deciding which face to use.
