Our Chocolate Composite Woodgrain Decking Board in 4.8m length brings the rich look of traditional timber decking together with the durability and convenience of composite technology. One face of the board features a deep embossed woodgrain pattern, giving the appearance and texture of natural wood, while the reverse offers a grooved profile for an alternative finish and enhanced grip.

Each board is approximately 4.8m long, 150mm wide and 25mm deep, making it ideal for larger decking areas where longer spans can help reduce the number of visible joints. The Chocolate tone provides a warm, inviting backdrop that pairs well with planting, fencing and garden furniture, and forms part of a palette of seven attractive colours.

Manufactured from a blend of recycled wood fibres and plastic, these boards are designed to resist common issues associated with traditional timber decking, such as warping, splitting and rot. They require no regular painting or staining, and routine cleaning with soapy water is typically all that is needed to keep them looking their best.

As composite boards can vary very slightly in shade between production runs and lengths, we recommend choosing a single board size and placing your full order at the same time to help maintain consistent colour throughout your project.

Plan your decking layout, confirming the overall dimensions, board direction, joist spacing and any steps or features before work begins, and build a stable, level subframe using suitable treated timber or composite joists.

Ensure there is adequate drainage and ventilation beneath the subframe so water can run off freely and air can circulate, helping to maintain the long-term performance of the deck.

Measure and cut the Chocolate composite boards to length as required, making sure that all end joints are supported on joists and that suitable expansion gaps are left at walls, edges and fixed structures.

Fix the first board in place along the edge of the deck using starter clips or appropriate screws, checking that it is straight and square to the subframe.

Install the remaining boards using hidden fixing clips in the side grooves or the manufacturer’s recommended surface fixings, keeping a consistent gap between boards and staggering any end joints across the deck for a more natural appearance.

Finish exposed edges with compatible trims or fascia boards, then sweep and wash down the deck to remove dust and cutting residues before bringing furniture and accessories into place.
