Co-Extrusion Duo Composite Decking Board 3.66m - Teak/Walnut

Composite decking buying guide: compare the Status ranges

Choosing composite decking starts with three practical decisions: the surface you want, the board length that fits your layout and the matching parts needed to finish it. A lower price per board does not necessarily mean a lower cost for the same deck area, because board widths and lengths differ.

This guide compares the five Status Composite decking ranges using their listed dimensions. Use it to narrow your choice, then check the individual product and selected variant before ordering.

Compare the five decking ranges

Range Listed board sizes Surface and design choice
Woodgrain 3.6m or 4.8m × 150mm × 25mm, depending on product Embossed woodgrain on one face; grooves on the reverse.
Classic 2.9m × 150mm × 25mm Reversible grooved finish in Black, Brown or Grey.
Eco 2.4m × 150mm × 25mm Reversible grooved finish in the Eco colour range.
Wide Max Approximately 3.66m × 235mm × 25mm A wider, embossed woodgrain board in Light Grey or Dark Grey.
Co-Extrusion Duo Approximately 3.66m × 135mm × 22.5mm A capped board with a different colour on each face: Teak/Walnut, Light Grey/Anthracite or Antique/Charcoal.

These are nominal product dimensions, not installation gaps or structural specifications. A shared colour name does not establish that boards or accessories from different ranges will fit together.

Choose a finish you can assess in daylight

Woodgrain and Wide Max suit a design where the visible grain is part of the finished look. Classic and Eco give you a grooved surface. Duo offers a choice between two colours on a single board, which is useful when deciding how the deck will sit alongside paving, brickwork or garden furniture.

Compare a physical sample where available with your other materials. Look at it outdoors in both shade and daylight. Screen settings can change the appearance of colour, and a photograph cannot show the surface as clearly as a sample.

Let the deck layout guide the board length

Draw the deck to scale and mark the intended board direction. Check where each full length will start and finish, where cuts are needed and where any joins will fall. A longer board can remove a join on one layout but create more unused material on another. Include access and handling space when deciding which length to order.

For Woodgrain boards, the product listings warn that 3.6m and 4.8m lengths can vary slightly in shade between batches. Order the same length together where colour consistency is important. If your design requires mixed lengths, discuss that before purchasing.

Compare the complete materials list

Build a like-for-like quotation for the same deck area. Include boards, suitable supporting framework, compatible clips and screws, edge trims, fascia and step details. Check delivery separately. A wider board changes the number of boards needed; it does not by itself establish the fixing quantity or the overall installed price.

Use our decking quantity and cost-planning guide for a worked area estimate, then check the result against a board layout. Our guide to trims, fascia and step edges explains which finishing parts to count by length.

Questions to settle before ordering

Can I mix decking ranges?

Do not assume different profiles share the same clips, supports or edge details. The widths and thicknesses above differ. Keep to a confirmed compatible system, or ask us to check the proposed combination.

Does every range have the same warranty?

No single warranty period should be assumed across the catalogue. Read the warranty information for the specific product and ask for its applicable terms if warranty coverage is part of your decision.

What information should I send for help?

Send the deck length and width, a sketch showing steps and exposed edges, your preferred range and colour, and details of the proposed base. Start with our installation guidance or contact Status Composite before finalising the order.
