If you want external corners to look as considered and professional as the rest of your cladding, the Silver Series 1 composite external corner trim is the ideal finishing touch, delivering both protection and polished visual appeal.

Before installing the external corner trim, ensure that the substrate and battens at the corner are correctly positioned, plumb and securely fixed. It is often easier to fit corner trims first so that the cladding panels can be installed neatly up to them.

Measure the required height of the corner and select the appropriate length trim, either 5m or 6m. If necessary, cut the trim to size using a fine-toothed saw suitable for composite materials. Offer it up to the corner to confirm a tight, straight fit along its full height.

Fix the trim to the underlying battens by pre-drilling through the faces and securing it with appropriate exterior-grade screws, or by using a compatible outdoor adhesive where suitable. Space fixings at regular intervals along the length, taking care not to overtighten and deform the profile.

Once the external corner trim is secured, begin installing the Series 1 slatted cladding panels. Cut the panels so that their ends sit neatly behind the trim, creating a concealed, protected junction. Work up the wall, checking alignment as you go to maintain straight lines and an even gap pattern.

After installation, clean away any cutting dust or adhesive residue. The Silver external corner trim will now provide a durable, colour-matched finish that enhances and protects the external corners of your Series 1 cladding system.
