Dark Grey Wide Max Woodgrain Trim 3.66m

The Dark Grey Wide Max Woodgrain Trim in 3.66m lengths is designed to provide a neat, protective finish around the edges of your composite decking. Perfect for framing steps, hiding cut board ends and tidying up exposed perimeters, it helps you achieve a professional result on every project.

Manufactured from high-quality composite material with a woodgrain-effect surface, this trim offers the look of painted timber with enhanced durability. The Dark Grey colour is carefully chosen to complement Wide Max Deep Embossed decking boards, ensuring a consistent, modern aesthetic across the entire deck area. It is particularly effective for defining boundaries and giving raised platforms a more substantial, finished look.

With approximate dimensions of 3.66m in length and a 50mm x 55mm profile, the trim provides robust coverage while remaining easy to cut and handle. It is resistant to moisture, splintering and warping, making it ideal for the variable conditions experienced in UK gardens and terraces. Maintenance requirements are minimal, with only periodic cleaning needed to keep the trim in good condition.

If you want your Wide Max decking to look sharp and well-resolved from every angle, this Dark Grey trim is an essential finishing component that enhances both protection and visual appeal.

Begin by confirming that all decking boards are fully fixed and cut to the desired size, with straight, even edges where the trim will be applied. Clean these areas to remove any dust or loose debris.

Measure each edge or step face that requires trim and mark the corresponding lengths onto the trim itself. Cut to size using a fine-toothed saw suitable for composite materials, and dry-fit each piece to check the alignment and coverage before fixing.

The trim can be fixed using either exterior-grade screws or a suitable outdoor adhesive, depending on the substrate and the finish you prefer. For screw fixing, pre-drill pilot holes at regular intervals along the trim, keeping them back slightly from the edges to avoid splitting and to maintain a neat appearance. Secure the trim firmly into the subframe, fascia or riser, ensuring it sits flush against the decking boards.

On corners, cut mitres so adjoining trims meet cleanly, or carefully butt joint the pieces where appropriate. Once all trims are installed, wipe away any adhesive residue and clean the surfaces as required. The Dark Grey trim will now provide a strong, consistent edge that complements your Wide Max deck.
