Before fitting the fascia, ensure your decking boards and subframe are fully installed, level and secure. Check that the areas to be covered are free from loose debris and that any overhanging sections of board have been trimmed back.

Measure the length of each edge, riser or face where fascia is required and transfer these measurements to the fascia board. Cut to size using a fine-toothed saw suitable for composite materials, then dry-fit the pieces to confirm alignment and coverage.

Fascia boards are typically fixed directly to the rim joist, riser or vertical face using exterior-grade screws or an appropriate outdoor adhesive. If using screws, pre-drill pilot holes along the top and bottom edges of the fascia at regular intervals, starting around 80mm in from each end and spacing fixings at approximately 300mm centres.
