Co-Extrusion L Trim 3.66m - Antique

This 3.66m Co-Extrusion L Trim in Antique is designed to bring a smart, finished look to your composite decking. It sits neatly over exposed board edges and external corners, helping you hide cut ends and protect vulnerable areas from knocks and weathering. The soft Antique colour provides a subtle, sophisticated finish that pairs beautifully with complementary Co-Extrusion Duo boards.

Manufactured using co-extrusion technology, the trim combines a robust composite core with a protective outer cap. This gives it impressive resistance to moisture, staining and fading, making it a reliable choice for UK outdoor spaces. Unlike traditional timber edging, it will not rot, splinter or require regular treatments.

The 3.66m length and 50mm x 50mm profile make the trim versatile enough for a wide range of applications, from deck perimeters and raised edges to step risers. It is easy to cut to size and simple to handle on site, whether you are a professional installer or a confident DIYer.

Use this Antique L Trim to tie your decking design together and ensure every edge looks deliberate and refined. It is a simple addition that makes a noticeable difference to the overall quality of your finished outdoor space.

Before fitting the L Trim, make sure all decking boards are securely fixed in place and any overhanging edges are trimmed back straight. Brush away dust and debris so the surface is clean wherever the trim will sit.

Measure each edge or step where the trim is required and transfer these measurements to the trim. Cut to length using a fine-toothed saw suitable for composite products, then dry-fit the pieces to check alignment and joint positions.

To fix mechanically, pre-drill pilot holes through the trim into the underlying structure and secure using appropriate exterior screws, spacing the fixings evenly along the length. Keep screw heads neat and level for a tidy appearance. Alternatively, you can bond the trim using a strong outdoor adhesive applied in beads along the inner faces, pressing firmly into position until set.

For corners, cut mitres so that adjoining trim lengths meet cleanly. Take care to keep the visible edges straight and flush with the decking boards. Once all trims are in place, wipe down the surfaces to remove any dust or adhesive residue. The finished result will be a crisp Antique edge that frames and protects your composite deck.
