For homeowners and installers seeking a bright, modern finish that neatly frames their decking, this Light Grey Wide Max trim is an essential accessory that ties the whole project together.

Ensure all decking boards are properly fitted and that any edges to be trimmed are straight, stable and free from debris. Check the overall layout so you know where each length of trim will start and finish.

Measure each section of edge, step or riser and transfer these measurements to the trim. Cut the trim to length using a fine-toothed saw designed for composite products. Offer each piece up to the deck to confirm the fit before proceeding with permanent fixing.

You can secure the trim using exterior-grade screws, outdoor adhesive, or a combination of both. For screw fixings, pre-drill pilot holes along the length of the trim, spacing them at regular intervals and keeping them slightly in from the edges. Fix the trim into the subframe, fascia or riser so that it sits firmly and flush against the decking boards.

At corners, cut accurate mitres or plan neat butt joints so the trims meet cleanly. Once all trims are fitted, remove any dust or adhesive residue and give the edges a quick clean. The result is a light, modern border that enhances the appearance and durability of your Wide Max deck.
