Composite External Corner Black - Series 1

The Composite External Corner Black – Series 1 trim is an essential finishing component for any slatted cladding project that features outside corners. It provides a neat, robust edge where two cladded walls meet, protecting board ends and creating a strong architectural line that enhances the overall design.

Available in both 3.6m and 2.5m lengths, each external corner trim has an approximate width of 49.25mm including the lip and features a smooth, contemporary face. The deep Black finish brings a bold, modern character to façades, garden rooms and feature walls, and works particularly well alongside neutral or contrasting materials.

Constructed from high-quality capped composite, these trims are engineered to resist common external challenges, including weather exposure, insect attack and rot, when correctly installed. A UV-stable outer layer helps to keep the colour rich and consistent with minimal maintenance over the life of the installation.

The profile is simple to cut and fit using standard woodworking tools and is typically installed prior to the main cladding boards to give the cleanest outcome. Used in conjunction with Series 1 slatted boards and compatible trims, it ensures the corners of your project look as sharp and durable as the rest of the cladding.

For the best results, always use this trim as part of the complete Series 1 slatted cladding system.

Plan your cladding layout so that battens are correctly placed behind each external corner where the Black trims will be installed, ensuring sufficient fixing points along the full length.

Measure the height or length of each outside corner and cut the external corner trim to size, keeping all cuts straight and clean.

Position the trim over the external corner, checking that it sits evenly on both faces and aligns with your intended cladding courses.

Pre-drill holes through the trim into the battens at appropriate intervals, helping to guide your fixings accurately and avoid splitting.

Secure the trim using suitable exterior screws, tightening each fixing to hold the profile firmly in place without distorting the smooth surface.

Install the Series 1 slatted cladding boards so that their ends finish behind the external corner trim on both elevations, maintaining consistent gaps and straight lines.

After all boards and trims are fixed, clean off any dust or debris to reveal a sharp, modern corner detail that complements the rest of the cladding.
